Hawaiian Woodcuts Series - Bursting with a Twist

Using Rob Appells Gator Quilt pattern from Man Sewing, this quilt is my get-out-of-the-artisitic-covid-slump quilt. In early 2021, my creativity just took a back seat. Lots going on in the world and my mind could not focus on quilting. I knew I needed to quilt something just to get me back into the swing of things. Rob's Gator quilt was the perfect choice - NO POINTS! Which took away some of my natural anxiety with the concept of perfection. I decided to double the recipe however so its taken me a lot longer to finish. I took one of my favorite not-yet-used fabrics from Timeless Treasures and married it with a nice yellow paisley. I think the effect is perfect - as a bonus giving me a Hawaiian vibe somehow. Thanks again, Rob, for the inspiration and a kick in the quilted pants. There will be two more in the series - Rainforest and Volcano coming in Summer 2023.
