For My Mom
This quilt is one of two. I took a block of the month sampler class in the early 2000s. I got fabric for one color way that I quilted in class. And I also bought fabric in a completely different color way so after class I would sew the same block at home. This did two things, allow me to make two quilts at relatively the same time AND allowed me to perfect what I had attempted in class. This class was amazing and I made some incredible friends. The quilt I made in class went to my mom and the second one I gave to Tom. Both of them turned into UFOs though and I actually didnt finish them until 2018 - due to life changes shortly after leaving Santa Cruz. Memories!
